Many of our coffees are organic — we carry over 100 organic options across our catalog! While we don't exclusively source certified organic or fair trade coffees, we do things a little differently at Bean Box.
We partner exclusively with small-batch, independent specialty roasters who we carefully vet — not just for their sourcing practices, but for their overall commitment to quality from farm to cup. Many of these roasters work directly with micro-lot farmers, which often means better pay, better working conditions, and better environmental practices than what a standard fair trade or organic certification alone can guarantee.
It's worth noting that in the specialty coffee world, organic and fair trade certifications don't always tell the full story — some of the most ethically sourced and carefully grown coffees simply don't carry formal certifications due to the cost and complexity of the process for small farmers.
